When you make God Lord of your life, you will get direction from Him. Don’t let religion become routine. Always find time to be alone with God and to pray. Acknowledge His Lordship and you’ll begin to understand what He wants of you.
God places great value in you and has plans for you. Pray your way through the day so you can fit into His divine plan. There is nothing so small that it does not need prayer.
To experience the presence of the Lord, you must wait on Him. Don’t hurry through your worship, and just ask Him for things. Take time with God to tell Him that you are His and thank Him for all He does for you. He will reveal Himself through His Holy Spirit and guide you.
Pray after you do something, not just before you do it. Thank God for giving you the desired result. After is when you’re most vulnerable to Satan. Trust in God that He hasn’t forgotten you, because He always shows up when you need Him.
You have to be willing to give up what you have to God for someone else’s needs, without thinking of yourself and what you’ll get back. Yield some portion of your life to God for Him to use and you’ll be blessed for it.
The ability to care about people is something that the Holy Spirit develops in us. The love of Christ drives us. Seek God until you’re refreshed. When you do, He’ll bless your soul, cleanse your conscience, and lead you to those who need help.
Prayer before and after situations gives you a better understanding of God’s direction for you. It’s vitally important to spend daily time with God. Even 5 or 10 minutes will refresh you and guide you.
Let God say when your job is done. He may call you to do something for Him, but don’t assume that you’ll be doing that forever. Stay on the mainline of His perfect will for you and give yourself completely to it.
God doesn’t always answer the “why” questions of our lives, but He does show He is there. Don’t ask Him why things are happening. Instead, ask Him to get you through and show you the opportunity and growth for your life in it. He always will.
