Because Christ is alive we have a certain hope for our present, future and eternity. Our faith is kept by the Word in our hearts and by the Holy Spirit living in us.
Holiness is reflected in the use of your body. And if you want to be sure that you’re ready for the Lord Jesus Christ, be sure that you’re living in a way that honors Him in everyday living.
It is a joy to be included and wanted. Jesus wants us to be with Him. We can be comforted that this life isn’t all there is. We have sorrow in bereavement, but it is without the hopelessness. When Christ returns the dead in Christ will rise first and receive their glorified bodies.
It’s a mistake to think that Christians don’t have genuine sorrow when death and loss come. Being a Christian does not spare you from the hurts of life. Having Jesus in our sorrow sanctifies the grief so that the bitterness isn’t there.
The proof of Christ’s work in your life proves we can trust His promise to do what we can’t see yet. He is trustworthy. The true test of whether or not you’ve had an effective ministry can be found in the lives of people who have been changed because of you.
