And although you may be a professing Christian and have given yourself to Christ in faith, maybe some time ago yet just this minute you’re aware of areas in your life that are weak and that are feeble and those areas in which you fail.

To risk the situation on God, to do God’s will no matter what, and to leave the outcome with him. That’s faith.

What are the things that are so true, so deeply held in your own heart and mind and conscience, so much of a conviction that you are willing to pattern your life and, if need be, to die for them?

You don’t have to stop and scrape the barrel if God has been doing something in your life.

Let the Lord Jesus, by faith, into every area of your life– -basement and attic and all the rest.

Patience starts inside. The ability to stay down and not give up or blow up comes not from self-discipline only.

God has built surrender into your bones. You will always give up to something or somebody. The secret of inner strength is to give up to the Lord Jesus.

To do the right thing is not a matter of willpower always. Many times, beloved, it has to do with trusting Jesus.

Faith risks the uncertainties of life on God. You don’t really know what’s going to happen tomorrow, nor do I; but we do know that God is already there.

There are a lot of variables that you can’t control even though you “are busy doing your duty”, as we say. Now, what do you do about them? How do exercise faith?
