To sense the presence of God when you walk into a room is normal Christianity. When you walk into a situation people should sense the presence of God — that’s holiness.

The effect of the gospel involves a turning- turning towards God or away from him. The Christian life is doing all with the blessed hope of Christ’s return in mind.

The mystery of faith is that Christ lives in the believer through his Holy Spirit. Live an honest life. Living a life of sincerity and honesty is rooted in our commitment to Jesus and the Word of God.

Any time your conscience is outraged and you don’t settle things, you are weakened, hindered, and deterred from doing that which is effective in the Will of God.

Being honest with God involves stopping manipulative behavior — trying to manipulate people. It involves stopping the idea of explaining away what God’s word is plainly saying.

Thoughtless and selfish words and actions may indeed be something that you think you’re getting away with. Of course that’s doubtful. You never get away with anything do you, in this life?

Opposition can’t be licked by your human smartness — don’t try it. Instead, turn it over to your blessed Lord.

You can pray in a manner that will free up the Word of God to get into people’s hearts — yes, you can.

As you pray for yourself and for others, remember that this is a battle. God is able to open up things for you so the Word of God gets out.

When you pray, just remember God reserves the right to determine how the prayer will be answered.
