What is it that occupies your leisure thoughts? What is it that occupies your real concern?

Sometimes you can just keep your mouth shut and let God take care of it.

You don’t have to get what I call the “pious tremulant” in your tone and sound ministerial in order to minister to people.

God never scolds you for your wants. What He does ask is that you take your thoughts and the things you want and you bring them to Him and you subject them to His perfect, sovereign Will.

Make your plans in the presence of the Lord and then don’t hesitate when you’re interacting with other people to let them know where you stand.

You can say and do things that make of your life an extension of the pierced hand of Christ.

It’s God’s grace that allows you to be alive this minute. It’s God’s grace that keeps your heart pumping so that you don’t fall over dead.

You can be the wholesome kind of a person who betters any situation by the spillover of hope out of your heart filled with the Spirit of God

There may be tempests all around us but in the depths of your heart, that right relationship with Jesus has produced His perfect peace.

Joy is not just happiness. Happiness depends upon circumstances. When you commit a situation and yourself with it to God, you suddenly have hope.
