You take time to wait on God and let the Holy Spirit guide you, and I can guarantee you, beloved, that you’ll be praying in line with the Will of God. And your prayer will have an answer.
Jesus speaks of your fruit and that means the productivity of the Christian life: producing by your impact upon other people, producing others who also know and love and abide in the Lord Jesus.
There is that delicious freedom and commitment to God’s Will, whatever it may be, that the Holy Spirit of God produces when you pray, as we say, in the Spirit.
This is something that ought to frighten every one of us: the possibility of through our own carelessness and willfulness, of separating ourselves from the life-giving, sustaining presence and power of our Lord Jesus Christ.
What is this business of abiding in Christ? It means that you take by faith all He has for you and receive in turn by faith all of His blessed presence, power, and enablement.
Ask God in His own wonderful way to make it possible for you to become more and more fruitful. The fruit of a Christian is somebody else that’s been introduced to Jesus because of you.
Christianity is not a point of view. Christianity is a relationship with a person, the Lord Jesus Christ. And you have committed your life to Him so that He can run it.
