What we are saying is that effective praying has to involve the whole being. It has to involve all of you. And it is a battle, and you have to work at it.
Be specific when you pray for yourself and for others. Then trust the blessed, faithful, promise-keeping God to answer perfectly and according to His eternal Will.
Whatever is said needs to agree with the written Word of God, needs to be given in the enablement of the indwelling Holy Spirit, needs to exalt the Lord Jesus, and be given in His power and for God’s glory.
There is a therapeutic value in telling God the truth about yourself. Do it and ask the Lord Jesus to forgive you and to cleanse you with His precious blood and get you back on track again, and He’ll turn the power on once more.
